So I try to sign up for these little Challenges, and I am always surprised when I make it on the list. My next Challenge is Sharyl's Bead Packet Design Challenge--#1!
I must say I love the beads! And I forgot to get a before picture of them. I really didn't think about the before picture, as normally the challenge beads sit on my desk for a week or two. However, these came right together for 2 lovely pieces of jewelry. Revel Date to be announced.
So go visit Sharyl's blog, look at the list of the other artists in the challenge. I am going to finish putting my new pieces together, and then hope the weather cooperates as well as the beads did for pictures.

Purple Rain
Maybe thinking of blog titles is not that hard. Or at least for this pair of earrings, it was easy. I was drooling over browsing through my new Fire Mountain Gems catalog and saw this pair of earrings.
I knew I had to make some similar to these. Similar because I do not have those earwires, not found of gold color, that chain or white crystals.
Here are my first pair:

May Pinterest Challenge piece # 2
Here is the (so far) second piece I have made for the pinterest challenge.
The image I pinned:
And now my version, that my daughter has already claimed and taken custody of:

I love it when other people like my jewelry. Sometimes, I worry that even though I like it, no on else will. Anybody else feel that way? That you like it just cause you made it?

Earring Holder
I have seen some pretty earring holder's on pinterest. Like this one:
I had a cute white picture frame I had found at Goodwill for this project for about $0.49. While at Target looking around, I found these really cute place mats for $1.00. So, my version of this cost $1.49. Ready to see it?

So what do you think?
And how about one horrible night shot of the holder in use?
No, those are not all of my earrings. I currently have my holiday earring separate, waiting on me to make a hold just for them.
Just a small note, my mom has been sick, and my work hours are varying slightly. My posting may be even more sporadic than normal but I do have some cute earring to share.

Hanging Earring's
I have a trick I recently learn on how to hang earring off of business cards. I would love to buy and use the easy earring card hole punch, but can not currently afford the $58! I have found a simple way to hang and display different types of earrings.
I bought these punches from Hobby Lobby. They are priced $9.99 (for all 3) normally, I used a 40% off coupon to save a little bit. I bought it for the single dot punch (the middle one).
Today I was finishing a pair of earrings on kidney wires for a gift, with no way to display/store them for shipping. Light bulb minute, I thought maybe the ribbon slider punch (it looks like 2 lines) would work. It did!
