I have added a page for the Link Parties that I like to look at.  I sometimes like to join them also, or at least I am trying to.  You will find the Page listed at the top, right under my Header (which I promise I am working on making look cuter)!

On a completely different note, went driving around this morning (after the kid went to school).  We drove by the Lake Overholster.  With all this heat this summer and no rain, it is really down.

And finally some birds that I have never seen before.  Hubby said he thought they were Turkey Buzzards.

I do wish I had been able to get one of them flying.  Their wing span was huge!

Today

Well today I spent finishing a set for my sister.  Then attempting pictures, which didn't work.  So I will get some pictures outside tomorrow.  Soon (wishing) I will have a light tent of some sort to make it easier!

I also spent the day cooking a roast, washing dishes, and doing laundry.  I plan on doing as little as possible tomorrow.  It is my Birthday!  I will be 36.

I don't know about you, but I am tired of the heat. Today the weatherman says we will get a break from the 105s, the high is 99.  Oh well.

Here are a few goodies I made last night. Any opinions?  The first pair, I made thinking about my sister's love for OSU, Oklahoma State Univ, not Ohio State.  I do love to tease her about that.  You see Oklahoma has two College football teams that divide the state in favorites, Oklahoma State(OSU) and Oklahoma(OU).  She is a big OSU Fan, my house cheers for OU.  OSU's colors are orange and black, while OU's colors are Red and White.  However, Ohio State's colors are a red and white.  Which means I can get her OSU items in red and white.  Love it, well love to tease her about it anyway.  :)

This next picture I was going for flowers.  How do they look?

The next pair is one I made for my daughter.  I will have to make these in other colors.

First day of 7th Grade

Today is the first day of B's 7th grade!  This year she actually has her outfit picked out, and ready.  She also demanded asked if I could make her a necklace and earrings to match her ring.  She doesn't wear bracelets due to playing the clarinet, though not sure about how she will play with the ring on either.  This ring is one she had found and bought herself during one of the bead shows to come to town.

Now for a funny story about all this.  About this time last year I found a couple necklace bust I could afford (without giving up bead money, anyway :).  So I go to get my necklace bust out to take a picture of the first necklace I had made since getting time...and the bust is black.  So 3 black corded necklaces to photograph, and 1 bust that is also black.  This is why I took the photo's on my lovely bamboo place mats.
